In addition to his law degree, Jan has a degree in industrial engineering for maritime trade Jan is also registered as a German lawyer with the Hamburg Bar Association, the Hamburg Tax Advisor Association and with the SRA as a foreign lawyer in England and Wales. His clients, predominantly in the maritime sector, benefit greatly from the depth and breadth of his expertise.
Jan represents domestic and international banks, shipping companies, shipyards, ship and pool managers, owners, charterers and insurers, as well as leasing, energy and investment companies.

Georg is a ship finance expert with a corporate background who predominately advises lenders in ship financing transactions, restructurings and corporate law. He further advises on cross-border leasings of all kinds of maritime assets, as well as on yacht and super yacht projects.
Georg’s practice is focused on ship financing and corporate law. His clients include national and international banks, private equity funds, ship owners, shipyards and warranty and indemnity insurers.
Georg regularly acts for German and international banks, drafting loan and security documentation for the financing of different types of vessels, including super yachts. Georg advises banks in connection with restructuring of their loans and in work out/enforcement mandates. He also advises in the financing of other maritime assets, such as containers and (cross-border) leases.
His corporate law practice encompasses all types of company set-ups, including joint ventures and M&A for companies predominately in the maritime sector. He also advises providers of warranty and indemnity insurance in all aspects of German corporate law. Christian assists clients on all aspects of corporate and loan restructurings, often involving multiple jurisdictions. He also represents their interests in insolvency proceedings and handles enforcement actions, including ship arrests. Furthermore, he advises on shipping related regulatory issues, including money laundering, data protection and economic sanctions and embargos.
In connection with his restructuring practice, Christian also helps clients with all sorts of employment law issues (contentious and non-contentious), in particular those which may arise in the context of downsizing and outsourcing.
A further significant part of Christian’s work concerns renewable energy.
